I’m delighted to have my work in Huntsville again, at the amazing studio of jeweler Connie Ulrich in Lowe Mill. Have a look at her work and come see mine as well!

Birmingham
It was a lovely weekend in Birmingham at the Magic City Art Connection, with lots of friends, old and new, until the tornadoes moved in and closed us down early!
I’ll be heading to Nashville next weekend for the Tennessee Craft May Fair in Centennial Park. See you there in Booth A-06
Three shows in a row!
The upcoming weeks will be full ones!
On Thursday I set up for the Foothills Craft Guild 50th Anniversary Show at the Jacobs Building at Chilhowie Park in Knoxville, TN. That runs from Nov. 18-20. Find more info at http://foothillscraftguild.org/annual-show/
Then on Thanksgiving weekend I’ll take my work to the Greater Cinncinnati Winterfair in the Covington, Ky Convention Center, Friday through Sunday. See http://ohiocraft.org/craft-fairs/winterfair-cincinnati/ for more details.
The first weekend in December will find me back near home in Sewanee at the TN Craft South Holiday Studio Tour, at the home of my dear friend and fabulous potter, Merissa Tobler. Maps will be going out soon. If you would like to get one and might not, let me know.
I hope I’ll see you at one or more of these venues.
New Gallery
I am delighted to join the Copper Fox Gallery in Leiper’s Fork, TN, near Franklin. It is a beautiful gallery full of inspiring art and craft and I couldn’t be happier to be represented there. Stop by and check it out. Also see their website at http://thecopperfoxgallery.com/
Too hot to work!
It has been too hot to do much in the foundry so far this summer, so I thought I’d post some pictures of small cameos I’ve been doing of various dog breeds and cats.
My intention is to make these to order, from photos of pets. Contact me if you are interested in having your pet in bronze.

Tennessee Craft show next weekend
Beautiful Centennial Park in Nashville will be the scene of my next show on Mother’s Day weekend, Friday through Sunday. For three days over 200 artists and craftspersons from around the state will be offering our wares in the shadow of the Parthenon. As always admission is free and dogs are welcome (I wish I could bring mine!)
I’ll be in booth A 03. Find the perfect gift for your mother, father, sister, brother, friend, self. . .

Magic City!
Birmingham played host to a terrific show this past weekend, with great weather and great sales. I still have a couple of my limited edition Vulcan bronzes left, so let me know if you missed your chance to get one at the show. Reproduced by permission of the Vulcan Museum.
No Sewanee in May
I’ve just realized that the graduation fair at the University of the South is the same weekend as the Tennessee Craft fair in Nashville. This is the first time this has ever happened in May. So I’ll miss seeing all my Sewanee friends this spring.
However, I will have lots of work at Locals in Sewanee, and Susan Church will be at the May fair with her beautiful boxes, some of which sport my bronzes. Stop by and see what she has.
I’ll be back for the Family weekend in October, and I hope to see you then. Call or email me if you need any bronze before the fall.
Sewanee Paper Link
I just came across a paper written by a young man at Sewanee after he visited my foundry in the early 2000s. He gives a nice explanation of bronze history and the casting process. You can read it at :

No Brookgreen
I’m sorry to say that I have had to cancel my participation in the art festival at Brookgreen Gardens in June.
However, I am sending a big box of bronzes to the beautiful gift shop there, so they should be well-stocked with my bronzes soon.
